Hoss has recently rekindled his interest in the block print medium. His grandmother, Della Taylor Hoss, was a well-known artist who worked in woodblocks, linoleum blocks and etchings, while living in Yosemite National Park. Her work in printmaking has influenced Hoss throughout his career. He looks forward to creating multi-color block prints that reflect the simplicity, energy and drama of this hand-hewn medium.
