Over the past few decades, Hoss has devoted much of his energy to mastering the serigraphy medium.  With each new edition, he demonstrates an expanding interpretation of both the process and his landscape subjects.  A printmaking traditionalist, Hoss uses any number of non-photographic stencil-making techniques (hand-cut or painted) to create his artist’s prints.  As his own master printer, Hoss hand-registers and prints each color individually to maintain the spontaneity and energy of his work throughout the process of printing each piece.  Hoss editions are extremely limited.  And his stencils are destroyed in process to ensure that the pieces can never be recreated exactly. Each Martino Hoss serigraph is an original in its own right.
