About Martino

Hoss has always been a prolific and versatile artist whose work reflects a consistent love of nature. He combines his bold and colorful palette with raw, atmospheric light to bring to life his sensual reactions to the world around him.  His portfolio includes pastels on copper, paintings, serigraphs, block prints, monotypes, pen & ink drawings, mobiles and murals.

Experience
Hoss received a B.F.A. in drawing and painting from the University of the Pacific, in 1982, and a B.F.A. in Advertising Design from Art Center College of Design, in 1987. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and he has a special affinity for the Pacific Northwest and California -  areas that have inspired many of his dramatic landscapes.

Representation
Hoss is currently represented by galleries or corporate representatives in Seattle, Washington, Pasadena, California and Yosemite National Park. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His work is also featured in many prestigious corporate collections. Each year, Hoss shows in a variety of venues, including his invitational studio gallery openings, salon dinners, art pairings, and his periodic sketch sales. Personal
To those who have met him, Hoss is known, simply, as Martino. He is an endearing and creative presence, with a keen appreciation for the simple things in life. Martino has been married to his wife and business partner, Maura, for more than three decades. Their two children, Taylor and Burke, inspire the many moods of his artwork, and they are a constant source of joy for him.

Giving Back
Martino is grateful for the opportunity to work as a professional fine artist, and he is committed to giving back to the community. In addition to donating his work to a variety of causes throughout the year, he contributes 5% of every piece he sells to charities he holds dear.
